Malcom2073: the funny thing is, I wasn't asking for recommendations, they were being forced down my throat: I only made a statement I was at Frys looking at power supplies. Man "l33t" gamers and so on automatically assume that anything and anyone who doesn't agree with their opinions is obviously mentally chlleneged Thing is I'm not seeing anything that shouldn't be, otherwise I would have found it *g* JonathanThompson: Learning to present yourself in such a way that you aren't identical to the other hundred people looking for X Y or Z who don't actually know anything at all, but pretend to, is trucky There was a clear assumption of lack of knowledge made there. Try printg to screen the variables that control you function, just before you call the function, in both places. TheHexaCube: the difference is in the envoronment of the two functions. they were ATX power supplies usually used for gamers. Malcom2073: one of the things I found frustrating in the mentioned conversation last night was the assumption that the expensive power supplies I was looking at for my long-term needs were way overpriced, on the assumption I didn't know what I was looking at/for, just because.
Yes, getting n00bs in electronics to undertstand that there *IS* no "best" kind of amplifier, or switchm, ir wghatever component they are searching for. it does work in one function, and then doesn't in the other one :(Ĭareful, that's quite a generalization there someone gets all bent out of shape that someone doesn't go for X. Just something I've spent years studying LOL I know i would've failed that test hard, jstevewhiteĮh. Though some folks are working on consistent measures of "the ability to delay gratification for future benefit" (the Stanford marshmallow experiment() You want verbal acuity?!! I've got your verbal acuity right HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)Ĭurlyears: you forgot to replace the punctuation with emojis IQ remains the single psychometric measure with predictive value Razaekel : (assuming you know your verbal acuity better than I do :D ) We still tend to credit folks who speak well, and are 'quick witted', with intelligence, even though we know it's only one facet of it. Jstevewhite: well, no "out of ordinary" knowledge common levels Razaekel : historically, that would probably be true. Jstevewhite, according to that defintion, i would be pretty stupid Where that kind of skill is more or less hardcoded, not something trainable Jammi : no, the tests don't assume "no knowledge" they work really hard to make 'facts' not relevant to the test. Jstevewhite: the tests are assuming no knowledge, hence just the skill Historically, people were called "intelligent" due to verbal agility and wit ( pre 1900s ) Jammi I could send the ones I have back? :) Jammi : well, that may be your definition, but it's not one used by the folks who study and make the tests you're talkign about :D
#Kissol setup anycubic plus 3dlabprint how to
Imho intelligence is how to apply the wisdom gathered We can easily measure knowledge, and we've been working a long time to make IQ tests *not* a measure of 'knowledge', becasue it's not hard to find folks who are clearly not "intelligent", yet have excellent memories for 'facts' (knowledge) Jstevewhite: but then there are savant autists who can be "wise", yet have very low intelligence
However, it's worth noting that while most intelligent people are not wise, most wise people are also intelligent. It changes definitions when you go to measure it. Wisdom is difficult to measure because nobody can define it. Sounds like there should be a "stupidity" test, 'cause that's what you really want to know right? p Right, but they're scaled specifically to give consistent results over time. Jstevewhite: although it's often confused with wisdom That is, a person who scores high is *likely* to actually be intelligent, and the converse M119 output: x_min: TRIGGERED 16 they use deviation.Īnd all tests are *markers*. (it homes Y to max and I’ve got that configured in the FW and on the right pins)
M119 is reporting the correct min/max values. You could tap the other endstop with your finger or something, to see if that's the case. Any ideas or other help?īrendanjerwin: you sure its for right end? for example if trigger is at max and it thinks its going to min, it wouldnt stop when it hits max. I’ve checked the triggering status of the endstops manually with M119 and they seem to be behaving correctly. If I G28 Y0 (or X0) it moves towards my endstop but doesnt stop once it hits the endstop. I seem to have the motion right but I’m having some trouble with homing. Hey folks! I’m trying to switch a previously working CoreXY machine to RAMPS and Marlin.
